[H-PAD] Updated Legislative Alert --9PM House Passes $850 Billion in Military Spending

Late this afternoon, the Democratic controlled House of Representatives
passed a $850 National Defense Authorization Act. This was $37 billion more than requested by the White House. The final vote was 329-101.

Democrats in the House voted in favor of this legislation by a margin of 180-39, signifying an increased willingness by even liberal members of Congress to embrace vastly increased  expenditures on the military.

This is not the last time members of Congress will be voting on military expenditures.
