Historians for Peace and Democracy deplores the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the ongoing destruction of its cities and attacks on its people. We remain deeply concerned that hostilities there can rapidly become a global, possibly nuclear war,

Peace-loving people around the word are asking, “What can we do to make this stop?”

The answer is de-escalation and diplomacy, not more weapons and belligerent rhetoric.

Call your Senators and member of Congress today. Let them know you support a peaceful solution, which begins with an immediate ceasefire. More guns, bombs, economic sanctions, and threats will not end this terrible war. Peace- talks can.
